Susan will share her remarkable journey from a young booklover to an established author with eight celebrated novels, including her latest release, The Barrington Book Club.
This special event will offer fans and aspiring writers an opportunity to learn from Susan’s inspiring career and writing insights.
“For me, it's all about community—friendship, resilience, support, overcoming challenges, and finding your people,” Susan shares. “Readers of the Barrington Series have even created their own community in a Facebook group, much like the small town I write about.”
Susan’s passion for storytelling led her down a diverse path through publishing, marketing, tourism and small business. Although career advisors once suggested journalism as a more practical pursuit to a young Susan, her dream remained with fiction, culminating in her debut novel, Charlie’s Will, in 2020. Since then, her literary journey has blossomed, with each of her novels bringing authentic, relatable characters to life.
Her latest book, The Barrington Book Club, invites readers to follow small-town characters through a year of monthly book club meetings, each featuring discussions on real books by Australian authors—a unique twist that has enchanted fans and helped forge new connections in her readership community.
Light refreshments will be served.
