Planning and development certificates provide details on the current planning and building approvals which exist on a property. A request for a Planning and Development certificate needs to be lodged with Council to gain a copy of this information.
There are three levels of certificate which can be requested:
- Limited planning and development certificate - provides information on the zoning, overlays and whether there are any designations over the property. This certificate will be provided within 5 business days.
- Standard planning and development certificate - provides information on the zoning, overlays, whether there are any designations over the property and provides a copy of the current Decision Notices for planning and building approvals. This certificate will be provided within 10 business days.
- Full planning and development certificate - provides information on the zoning, overlays, whether there are any designations over the property, a copy of the current Decision Notices for planning and building approvals and provides comments regarding compliance with all conditions included in the planning and building approvals. This certificate will be provided within 30 business days.
To request a Planning and development certificate, you will need to complete the property Search Application form which can be found on the Rates & Property Forms page.
