The future of residential attraction in the Southern Downs is being pulled into focus with the drafting of a new Residential Attraction Strategy for the region.
As always, community consultation will form an important component of the development of the strategy and business and industry leaders are invited to have their say via a community survey, linked below.
Southern Downs Regional Council has always placed a high value on the input of businesses and industry in the region and sees this survey as a golden opportunity for the business community to provide insight and input as well as their thoughts on the potential direction of residential attraction in the Southern Downs.
Director Planning and Environmental Services, Scott Riley said: “The survey has been designed to enable the regional business community to contribute to the vision of the strategy and will assist in selecting key themes that will drive the Southern Downs residential attraction.
“AEC Group, on behalf Council, is in the process of developing a Residential Attraction Strategy designed to promote sustainable residential and business growth.”
The survey seeks to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the Southern Downs as a place to live, areas for enhancement, and what the community hopes for the region into the future.
The survey can be completed from both a business and residential perspective and contains five questions requiring 30 - 60 seconds to answer each, depending on how detailed responses are.
Council is urging as many people as possible to complete the survey via the Have Your Say section at the bottom of Council’s website landing page or by following these links:
