While it may feel like it’s too early start thinking about Christmas, the holiday season rolls around faster than Santa on a candy cane sugar rush and this year Southern Downs Regional Council is heading out early to seek a diverse range of vendors to help offer a spectacular experience for the community at the 2021 Warwick Carols in the Park.
All interested vendors are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to provide a variety of services at the carols event which will be held in Queens Park on Sunday 12 December.
This much anticipated annual event is a highlight in the Southern Downs’ community calendar and each year is attended by more than 3,000 residents and regional visitors. Carols in the Park aims to offer a free, family friendly event that features a festive vibe filled with carollers, food trucks, market stalls and entertainment.
Southern Downs Councillor Sheryl Windle said the event is a wonderful opportunity for local organisations to get involved in a community event.
“Local food trucks, chip vans, coffee vans and entertainers have an excellent opportunity to participate in a much loved and well attended community event,” Councillor Windle said.
“I’d love to see roaming face painters, maybe an elf or two on stilts and what about a few oversized photo frames to snap your family’s 2021 Christmas Card Greeting through.
“There are so many creative vendors on the Southern Downs and I would encourage you to get in early with your EOI.”
Council officers will evaluate EOI’s to ensure that the service on offer is appropriate for the all-ages community event and vendors are asked to ensure that all relevant licenses and permits are submitted together with the completed EOI’s to avoid delay.
Food vendors and non-food vendors will need to complete separate EOI’s which can be found on Council’s website at www.sdrc.qld.gov.au/our-region/events-festivals/christmas-carols/vendors-and-sponsors
Vendors will be contacted in a timely manner to discuss event arrangements.
