Southern Downs residents will need to use temporarily installed bins at the Stanthorpe Waste Facility while Council undertakes some precautionary onsite maintenance from Monday 29 June.
Wear and tear on the transfer station’s retaining wall from regular bin movements will be investigated to ensure its integrity and safety for all users of the site.
The facility’s gatehouse operator will be on-hand to assist and direct users to the appropriate bins which are now located adjacent to the transfer station area.
Residents are kindly reminded that social distancing rules apply and that the facility only accepts contactless payments such as EFTPOS and account during COVID-19.
Council appreciates residents’ patience and cooperation during these works and will continue to keep the community informed.
